English Forum : Journal of the Department of English, Gauhati University, Assam (ISSN 2279-0446), which was originally published as the Journal of the Department of English, Gauhati University, is peer-reviewed and published annually. It is devoted to scholarly dialogue on a broad range of issues pertaining to English Literature from Middle English to Postmodern times as well as other literatures in English. Articles should deal with topics significant to our time and cultures like representation, identity, subjectivity, ethnicity, nationhood, gender, and narration. Textual studies should be placed in a broad conceptual and theoretical framework. Preference will be given to interdisciplinary studies and cultural criticism.

Articles should be between 5000 and 8000 words; prepared according to the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers (8^th Edition). Book reviews should be limited to 1500-2000 words. Articles sent to English Forum should not have been submitted for consideration elsewhere. Articles for publication will go through a preliminary editorial review to check whether they conform to the stylistic and topical requirements of the journal. If the editorial board clears the papers hey will be sent for external review and the papers will be sent back for revisions, if necessary, to their authors. All papers should be accompanied by a written undertaking from the author that the articles do not contain any plagiarized material and that they have not been published elsewhere.
