The race of development needs critical focus on the domestic and international trade scenario, which encompasses different aspects of production, finance, accounting, management, economics and marketing. The comprehensive research investigation in these areas may contribute to the entrepreneurs governments and other stakeholders to formulate prudent policy so as to accelerate the economic activities of the nation in the arena of global competition.
The domestic trade issues have a uniqueness which is to be visualized through a different dimension, though domestic market cannot be segregated from the global trade, The local opportunities for production and services could be nurtured to expand market share in global business.
It is the obligation of the researcher and academician to identify and incorporate new thoughts and ideas which may be injected for business planners and economic thinkers. These can also contribute in promoting academic curriculum. The Journal of Commerce published by the Department of Commerce, Gauhati University is putting continuous efforts in this regard through the last 24 years. This periodical publishes research based articles of academicians, researchers and other entrepreneurial thinkers. It endeavours to create an environment for enriching entrepreneurial zeal with innovative skills.
Manuscripts submitted for publication are first screened for suitability with the stated Aims and Scope of the journal, before being subjected to a plagiarism check.
